Got a text from Ric about an hour ago letting me know that not only is his Kentucky Firebirds team in the elite 8 at nationals (5-0), but Central Michigan also offered this morning after his 8:30 game.
Central Michigan plays in the MAC conference and finished the season 13-19 last year, losing in the quarters of the MAC tournament. The Chippewas become the second MAC school to offer Rico. He now holds offers from Bradley, Ohio, Marshall, and Central Michigan.
Ric said he is playing very well down there but not hearing from any other schools. With how well he and his team are playing, don't be surprised if he leaves nationals with a few more offers. I'll have more tonight when I talk to him after their 5:30 game against Vineyard Running Rebels, out of Ohio.
