With a win over G.E.S.U.S Ball (60-38) this morning, the Kentucky Firebirds are now 5-0 and in the elite 8 in the 17U championship bracket at nationals. The Firebirds had defeated St. Paul Tornadoes yesterday afternoon 77-52 to reach this morning's game.
The Firebirds will play Vineyard Runnin Rebels out of Ohio tonight at 5:30 for a chance at the final 4.

Update:
The Firebirds fell to Vineyard Running Rebels 57-55. Ricardo Johnson finished with around 10 points while his brother JJ finished with around 12.
The Firebirds will meet Minuteman White tomorrow morning at 11:30 in the Quarterfinals Consolation bracket.
