Holmes' Johnson picks up second offer

Holmes' standout, Ricardo Johnson, picked up his second Division I scholarship offer Friday night from Ohio University.

Johnson, a 6'5 wing, played so well at the Adidas It Takes 5ive Classic in Cincinnati last week, the Bobcat coaching staff felt it was time to extend an offer. Said one coach, "He's good...I mean really good. I'm surprised the big boys aren't after him."

Ohio and Bradley University are currently Johnson's only offers, but I wouldn't expect it to stay like that very long. Akron is rumored to be the next school that will end up offering.

Johnson said he plans on making visits to both Bradley and Ohio U at the end of August.

Ricardo will be playing with the Kentucky Firebirds in Orlando at Nationals. Don't be surprised if more offers come after that.
