Chane Behanan heads Class of 2011 Rankings

Jody Demling and the Louisville Courier Journal recently ranked the top 25 players in the class of 2011 and Bowling Green's Chane Behanan (photo, left) was at the top. Here is what they came up with:

1. 6'7 Chane Behanan (Bowling Green): He's a beast. I'd say he's the best prospect of any class in the state. Ranked top 100 nationally for his class.

2. 6'6 George Fant (Warren Central): Will need to work on his shot for the next level, but a load to handle for the high school level.

3. 6'3 Remy Abell (Eastern): Drew a lot of praise from high level division I coaches for his play this past summer. If he keeps improving and grows a bit, could turn out to be a little better than a mid major player.

4. 6'8 Treg Setty (Mason Co): Growth spurt and hard work helped him rise in the rankings. Setty is long, can shoot the three pointer, and is very heady.

5. 6'4 Robbie Stenzel (Clark Co): A big time shooter and still the most consistent and smartest player statewide in this class.

6. 6'8 Vinny Zollo (Clark Co): Look for his second year in the state to really be big time. He really made a lot of strides during the off season.

7. 6'4 Josh Forrest (Paducah Tilghman): Don't forget him. He's from Western Kentucky and not a ton of hype but he's a player with a lot of skills.

8. 5'11 Jordan Shanklin (Warren Central): Injury ended his high school season and slowed him in the off season. He's tough to handle when 100%.

9. 6'2 Ryan Fucci (Tates Creek): Really improved from this time last year and will make Tates Creek a serious contender in the 11th region.

10. 6'7 Timmy Knipp (Elliott Co): Left to do a lot of work for the Lions- who lost four starters. Knipp can shoot and handle the ball well for a big man.

11. 6'4 Marcellus Barksdale (Tates Creek)

12. 6'7 Trey Williams (Greenup Co)

13. 6'4 Lyonell Gaines (Eastern)

14. 6'5 Leonard Smith (Fulton City)

15. 6'5 Donovan Kates (Christian Co)

16. 6'4 Arman Marks (Eastern)

17. 6'4 Scott Schuette (Lexcath)

18. 5'10 Damien Elam (Russellville)

19. 6'8 Jake Mcclanahan (East Ridge)

20. 6'1 Kyle King (Deming)

21. 6'4 Ryan Hudson (University Heights)

22. 6'4 Taylor Martin (Lexcath)

23. 6'5 Josh Stroud (Fairdale)

24. 6'2 Kevin Shaw (Seneca)

25. 5'11 Jordan Gilbert (Mason Co)

Best of the Rest:
