NKY Rankings: Week 3

Three weeks of football are in the books and the Kentucky Enquirer has released their rankings:

1. Highlands

2. Simon Kenton

3. Conner

4. Ryle

5. Boone Co

6. Dixie Heights

7. Holy Cross

8. Campbell Co

8. Holmes

10. Newcath

Notes:

  • At this point, Highlands looks to be on a whole nother level compared to other teams around the area. SK is a solid pick at #2 though. They were very impressive in their 49-28 win over Dixie Heights.
  • I still think Holy Cross is too high at #7. We'll find out more about them Friday night when they take on Beechwood.
  • Newcath is better than their weeks 1 and 2 performances against Dixie and SK. I have a feeling they are going to start turning things around after their big 38-12 win over Madison Central Friday night. Saturday's match up with Ryle will tell just how much they've improved.
  • Nkysports.com will be covering the Newcath/Ryle game live Saturday night.
