Just got off the phone with stand out senior Ge'Lawn Guyn (photo), and he informed me that he is now de-committed from Charlotte and re-opening his recruitment. The 6'3 SG from Scott County High School is considered by many to be one of the top 2 prospects in the state of Kentucky.
One of the biggest reasons for his decision was that he felt he rushed in to things rather than seeing what other opportunities were out there for him. Guyn stated that he'd like to open things back up so he can fully weigh all of his options and then make a decision whenever the time is right.
A lot of schools have been in contact with Guyn and when asked which schools were currently showing interest and staying in contact with him, he gave the following list: Indiana, Ohio State, South Carolia, Coastal Carolia, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Georgetown, Northwestern, Hawaii, and Memphis.
With how talented Ge'Lawn is, and his senior season not even played yet, I'd expect that list to grow. Over the summer Guyn played with Indiana Elite and was very impressive against some of the best competition in the country.
